  1. It's Day 4 of the FB Art challenge. Today I'm sharing three of my quilts that hold a special place in my heart. Each of these have been displayed at Paducah. Each is my own design. I used trapunto in each design and Sunflower Stars was the first time I'd attempted that technique and it was the first quilt I entered at Paducah. I now teach the trapunto technique to others. The best lesson I've learned is to always strive to undertake something new or perfect a technique that you love.

  2. Thanks Emily Love for the gift card. Dinner was great!!

  3. Just found out I'm going to San Francisco in April for business! Looking forward to visiting sunny California again.

  4. Ok, it's Day #3 of the FB art challenge. My how time flies! :-) Today, I'm sharing some of my computer generated art. These are renderings I created in a program called Autodesk 3ds Max. It is used by engineers and architects to create renderings (images) of their CAD drawings. You see a lot of this type of thing on home improvement shows. It's a graphics and animation program used to not only produce photorealistic renderings such as these; but also, to create special effects and animati...

  5. It's Day #2 of the FB art challenge. I skipped a couple of days as I wasn't home, so I'll pick up where I left off. On Day 1, I shared some sculptures and fabric painting I did in the 70s. Today, I'm sharing some photos of a few quilts I quilted several years ago on my domestic sewing machine before I got my longarm. I like these because they were the first quilts where I didn't do just straight line stitching and where I realized I loved the process of quilting more than piecing. The two a...

  6. Its time for Day #1 of the FB art challenge thanks to Elizabeth Karnes! Each day for 5 days we are to post three photos of our artwork as well as nominate someone to join in the project if they so wish. I nominate LynnEl Springer to participate if you wish. Below are three photos of some items I made many many years ago - none are quilt related. The head sculpture and the vase were made in art class way back in 1973/74. I don't have any of my drawings or paintings from then, but do have a...

  7. Lovely quilt, pieced by Mary Madoni and quilted by me. Mary promptly picked this one up, so I didn't get much time with it after I took it off the frame. One of my favorites of hers. I don't know the name of the pattern, so I called it Window Panes.

  8. A cool quilt, pieced by Diane Myatt Wheeler and quilted by me. I was able to find a way to quilt the "boxed feathers" in one pass. I like how this one turned out.

  9. Finally back to quilting. Dishwasher sprung a leak and I had to tear out kitchen floor, dry everything out which took 6 days, and then have new flooring, dishwaher, and disposal installed. Got a new backsplash out of the deal, too; but it put a serious crimp in my quilting time

  10. The laminate flooring is installed, waiting to get the trim installed. In the meantime, my frame is dismantled; so, I am getting some quilt tops of my own worked on while I wait for things to get back to normal.

  11. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! Thank you for letting me know!!!! I'm planning on being there around noon today. I'll ask around for you. Thanks again!!!
