Dad's House Plan
This is a memory quilt honoring my father, a civil engineer who always wanted to build his family a dream house. Illness and the business of life overtook this dream, so I "built" it for him in fabric and thread. The white quilting of the house plot drawings are done in four different weights of white thread. The house is a combination of machine applique, in-the-hoop embroidery of my own designs, and free motion quilting. I highlighted the walkway and the yard with setacolor paints after quilting. All quilted on my Bernina 830 LE.
