This quilt was juried into the Lancaster 2013 show (much to my amazement!) It evolved as I tried out some techniques I learned in a class taught at a LQS by Libby Lehman. I used all different types of stitching, mostly with metallic threads (machine decorative, FMQ, bobbin work.) -

I made this quilt for a good friend who loves cats, and also likes kooky things. I pieced the border to look like the grates on an old leaded window frame. This was my first attempt at "Thread sketching" or "Thread painting", in the cats and background. I had fun trying out different threads.
