Quilt of the Week -- May 21, 2013

This week's feature is a lovely batik sampler that has been assembled and quilted by Jane O'Clair of New York.  Using blocks received as part of a block exchange along with others that she pieced herself, Jane came up with this lovely quilt and quilted it with a variety of beautiful motifs including feathers, dragonflies, fish, a gecko, curved cross hatching, pebbles and straight line work.  You can see additional photographs of Jane's quilt in the forum:

Quilt of the Week -- May 14, 2013

This week's feature is a lovely appliqued quilted that has been beautifully quilted by Sue Schoch of Clifton Part, NY.  (The quilt belongs to one of her customers.)  Sue asked for a little help from her MQR friends on this piece and came up with some great designs for it.  The background treatments she chose for the central medallion and small blocks are so elegant.  She also included some lovely feathers and curved cross hatching, too.  Be sure to visit the forum to see additional photographs of the quilt:
