This week’s featured quilt is a lovely sampler quilted by Georgia Gail of Ohio. After feathering herself into a corner, Georgia asked for some suggestions from MQR members. I’m sure you’ll agree that she did a great job applying some of the tips she received. Her quilting treatment includes lovely feathers, pebbles/pearls and continuous curves. Be sure to visit the forum to see additional photographs of her quilt:

I-Day Sand Art

I'm sorry I missed the I-Day post last week. We had several days of internet issues and I missed a lot of things! I wish I could say that I got more sewing done during that time but, alas, no. Maybe I need my internet time afterall to balance my day. That's what I told myself when I spent an hour looking at the art of Joe Mangrum.

Question of the Week -- May 6, 2012

in Question of the Week
Good morning and welcome to the start of a new week. Whenever possible I like to support local quilt shops for some of my quilting needs...mainly fabric, patterns and notions; but sometimes I just can't find what I'm looking for and need to purchase them on-line. So my questions for you this week are:
What items do you tend to purchase locally, and what items do you purchase from on-line sources? What are some of your favorite on-line resources for your quilting-related purchases?
Please take a moment to share your answers with us in the forum. Take care and have a wonderful week!

Good morning! It's Wednesday and time for another WIP show and share.
Earlier this week I finished up this T-shirt quilt. I have a client's Rails and Squares quilt on the machine now, and next up in the queue is a BOM sampler quilt.
Quite a bit of the snow has melted, so I've spent some time in the yard picking up debris that was left after several winter storms. Even though I can't place any plants in the ground until the end of the month, I'm looking forward to visiting the greenhouse next week to pick up some plants for my flower beds and planters. I am so ready for some color in the garden!
So...what have you all been doing this week? Please take a moment to stop by the forum to share your current projects with us.

Good morning and welcome to the start of a new week and a new month in a few days. The temperatures have warmed considerably, and the snow is melting quickly; so spring is definitely on its way.
How long has it been since you’ve worked on a project just for yourself to satisfy your creative soul? Minutes, days, weeks, or months?

One of the best things we can do for our creativity is to periodically take a break! Clear your mind and do something totally different or just take some time to relax. Well, that's what I'm doing this weekend. I'm taking a break. Want to give your eyes a break? Check out some beautiful Seascapes on Flickr.
I'll see you all next Friday with more art inspiration.
